Joshua J. Marks, Founder and Partner
Mr. Marks has studied
and worked in the DC charter school industry for nearly since 2002.
He founded GoldStar to "provide valuable business services to charter
schools, so they could focus on educating children." Before launching
GoldStar, Mr. Marks designed interfaces for Trilogy, a high-tech company
in Austin, Texas. Mr. Marks holds an MBA from the Darden School at the
University of Virginia, and a dual Computer Science degree from
Carnegie Mellon University.

Bradley T. Olander, Partner
Mr. Olander has held various senior operating roles focused on building
and growing businesses including CFO of a private equity firm, COO of a
specialty publications consulting and training products firm, and
business manager at Capital One. He also worked as a summer associate
at McKinsey & Company. A licensed engineer, he holds a BS in Mechanical
Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Stanford
University’s Graduate School of Business.

Melanie Davis, CPA, Senior Accountant
Melanie came to GoldStar in 2006 from Raffa & Associates, P. C. where
she served non-profit clients in many roles including acting
controller. Ms. Davis has extensive experience compiling and auditing
financial statements, preparing audit schedules, and has also
performed and managed all aspects of full-cycle accounting in her
14 years experience including A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, G/L
adjustments, and the like. Prior to Raffa & Associates, Ms. Davis
worked as a financial consultant for IBM (formerly PwC Consulting),
as a financial officer and staff accountant for Pact, Inc., and as
a staff accountant for the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation. Ms.
Davis has a BS in accounting from the University of Maryland and is
a Certified Public Accountant.
Kristin Lusk and Elizabeth Weintraub, Accountants and Project Managers
Krista and Elizabeth are recent graduates from James Madison University
and Dartmouth College, joining GoldStar in 2010. Each brings
strong analytic and accounting skills. Elizabeth and Krista have
supplemented and complemented GoldStar’s team and enhanced our bandwidth
and ability to provide the best service in the industry to each
of our clients.
